Until recently the only way to get close to the highest mountain
in the world was to either trek in with a full Sherpa crew,
sleeping in tents or to trek up using fairly basic tea houses.
However the building of a series of more comfortable lodges has
made it possible for trekkers to get up as close as possible to
these majestic mountains in all the comfort that was not
previously available. The locations of the four lodges we use in
the Everest region have all been very carefully selected for
their natural scenic beauty and easy accessibility to make your
journey into the heart of the Himalayas a unique and yet
comfortable experience.
Though the main attraction is Mount
Everest the spectacular mountain views of Thamserku (6,808m),
Ama Dablam (6,856m), Lhotse (8,501m) and Tawoche (6,542m) are
unbeatable.
On this eight days trek, after being flown into Lukla you trek
to Namche Bazaar via a series of pretty Sherpa villages
in the direction of the Everest up to the famous Thyangboche
monastery, the spiritual centre of the entire Khumbu region.
Then the trek follows the Tibetan trade route visiting the villages of Mende and Thame. |
